A Nikon 50mm 1:1.8 at 1/400 shutter speed, with a high 6400 ISO works for me well, both for wrestling and basketball.

Also in general, continuous shutter allows to choose the right moment, like this

Did you find a way to BATCH PROCESS 32-bit HDRs? It will still take ages to select bracket manually in lightroom right click, export to 32-bit HDR, and repeat for the 100s files to create you timelapse.

What temperature setting do you recommend for shooting inside a professional basketball arena? Is it necessary to set the ISO above 400 on a Canon 50D with a Canon 70 X 200 f.8L Ultrasonic?

I will be using a Canon 70 X 200 F.8L Ultrasonic lens on a Canon 50D to shoot a professional basketball game from the lower level seats at the American Airlines Arena. The rules are no flash, and no tripod. Do you recommend the same shutter speed and aperture settings, above? I plan to take a few test shots during the warm ups.

Great Job, I wonder if you tell us that have you worked on these photos? I am taking some photos but the only thing I am doing is that sometimes the object needs to be cropped and that is all because I don't know photoshop.
